3 Books for Beginning Data Science & Analytics
Books that made me think differently about data
When it comes to picking books on the topic of data science it can be a little dizzying to find a starting point. How much computer science curriculum do you care to dive into (if at all)? How much of the underlying math do you need to care about? Need a refresher on statistics? Do you even need any of that to get started?
Hence, finding that entry point can be difficult. This is especially true since many data scientists come from diverse backgrounds — there is no ‘one approach fits all’ for the budding data scientist.
I have created a list of data science books that are beginner friendly, and act as a good starting point regardless of your background. They do not expect computer science or statistical knowledge, and generally go over the math that is needed step-by-step.
To all my readers I want to make it clear that you do not need these books to get started with data science! FreeCodeCamp is a great starting point. YouTube channels like Nicholas Renotte, Data Professor, and CS Dojo (to name a few) are great free starting points. I implore you all to get started immediately and begin your journey with these free resources. There is no time like the present!
